Josh graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in 2009 with a Diploma in Engineering, and the following year continued his studies at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

After obtaining his Bachelor of Engineering in May 2012, Josh returned to A.H. Roy & Associates Ltd. where he had spent previous work terms in practicum as a student. Josh expanded his responsibilities and experience with the firm as a Mechanical Engineer-in-Training while working towards his Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation. He earned his P.Eng. designation in June of 2015.
